The 2009 Alltech Bioscience Medal of Excellence
For almost two decades the feed industry’s prestigious annual scientific excellence prize has been awarded to a scientist for making significant contributions to the area of application of natural biosciences to the food and feed industries. This year we change and award it to a man who has made traceability and sustainability a key component to our survival: David Byrne, former EU Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection and World Health Organization Special Envoy on the Revision of the International Health Regulations.
